Dr. Sheryl L. Shivers-Blackwell, Associate Professor of Management at Florida A&M University, passed away on July 5, 2007.
She received her doctorate in Organizational Behavior at Purdue University in 1999. She earned undergraduate and graduate business degrees from Florida A&M University. Dr. Shivers-Blackwell published articles in such journals as the Journal of Leadership & Organizational Studies, Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes, and Project Management Journal. She was a member of the OB and HR divisions of the Academy of Management. She was also a founding member of the Management Faculty of Color Association. She was 36 years old.
