THE INAUGURAL ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT
GLOBAL CONFERENCE
January 7 – 10, 2013

In response to demand from a growing and globally diverse membership population for an innovative and unique conference held outside of North America, the Academy will hold its first global conference from January 7-10, 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa. This conference will not replicate the Academy of Management's Annual Meeting in scope or scale, but rather provide an intimate setting to engage members through uniquely focused content and experiential learning journeys.
The inaugural AOM Global Conference will consist of paper sessions, workshops, and experiential learning journeys that are based on the following tracks:
- Navigating Institutions: Business, Government, and Civil Society
- Emerging Market Firms and MNCs: Characteristics and Global Aspirations
- The Base of the Pyramid: Emerging Market Consumers, Workers, and Managers
- Cultural Diversity and Transformational Societies
