2007 Terry Book Award Winner PDF Print E-mail

The George R. Terry Book Award is granted annually to the book judged to have made the most outstanding contribution to the advancement of management knowledge and published during the past two years. 

This year's Terry Award selection committee consisted of Javier Gimeno, Christine Oliver, Denise Rousseau, Kathie Sutcliffe, and Joe Porac (chair).  The committee received 65 book nominations for the award, and narrowed the set down to three finalists: 

  • "Green to Gold:  How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage" by Daniel Esty and Andrew Winston and published by Yale University Press, 
  • "Sharing Executive Power:  Roles and Relationships at the Top" by Jose Luis Alvarez and Silviya Svejenova and published by Cambridge University Press, and
  • "Managing Diversity: Toward a Globally Inclusive Workplace" by Michàlle Mor Barak and published by Sage Publications. 

The 2007 Terry Book Award goes to Michàlle Mor Barak for her book "Managing Diversity: Toward a Globally Inclusive Workplace."
